Belly Fat is the accumulation of fat which results in an increase in waist size and it is commonly known as a beer belly or tummy fat.
Most people usually find this section of the body the most difficult to lose weight.

What causes belly fat?
The most common causes of belly fat are improper eating habits and the lack of exercises. There are however other causes which are not commonly known. These include: menopause, genetics, stress, improper digestion and a slow metabolism.

Exercise tips on how to lose belly fat:
Aerobic exercises

These are exercises that involve or improve oxygen consumption by the body and they refer to the use of oxygen in the body's process of generating energy.

It is recommended that these type of exercises be done daily, approximately 30 minutes per session every day. Any exercise that involves the increase of the heart rate while exercising would be beneficial. These include brisk walking, jogging and swimming.

Whole body workouts
Perform exercises that involve the lifting of weights and strenuous yoga activities. These exercises will help to build muscle and increase the metabolic rate.

Sitting up straight
It helps to pull and hold your stomach muscles while you are sitting. These simple exercises help
strengthen your abdominal girdle and create a flatter stomach.

Stretching
Throughout the day, stretch your stomach muscles by bending backwards and forwards. This will not only stretches your stomach, but also strengthens your back.
